Eval of 2-10 Consumed

here's the eval from the programming meeting this morning. please feel free to add your comments.

band intro: party
(instrumental)
oops, I last minuted Ross on this one. this is a great, quick intro to throw together, but once again, we continue to need to plan ahead on intros!

welcome--roy

pp words--"consumed"
it was an okay transition--something was needed to set up cave man, so this worked

rich girl--gwen stefani
sara did great. splitting it up made it more interesting.
audience seemed to have fun in the up front run.

cavemen
funny. people always comment about loving this drama. chris did a great job in his caveman debut. 2nd service the drama was shorter/probably rushed the timing a bit.

pp words

ka-ching
christina's communication is awesome. song was a great fit with the run. high tones with
violin, strings, and christina's voice all combined to be a little piercing in the house at first. i
think this got adjusted.

video w/ stats and cartoon:
well done--very effective and got a great audience reaction. extremely well done. this could
have been a piece within the message. well edited, and well done. this could have been a more
key element of the service.

message--sean

i repent with video back up
song was a struggle for eric. although it improved a great deal, it still had quite a few pitch
problems. timed well with the video. song is a great ending--worked really well. could have
used a little explanation in the message about repentance, but the lyrics of the song still
carried it.

overall service/message stuff: be more inductive instead of deductive. Instead of stating
with programming and message that we are consumers...work from the premise that we have
to prove that. why do we shop when we lose our jobs? then get to the heart of why...

segues were great. the whole day flowed really well.

we need to start screen faster, and not worry about whether or not it is up when nothing is on
it. otherwise we are watching it come down...there is some discrepancy about this. :) but we
don't want people focusing on the screen up and down. need to plan the screen down
transition better so we aren't waiting for it.

sound stuff: front 5 rows--hearing a lot of monitor, especially vocals. probably needed more
bass in the overall mix.
