Sunday 1-13 Eval

Here is the run for last week. I know we are already in this Sunday mode. Sorry about that.

Rachel said she and/or John could get into this and post the cue sheet from Sunday earlier in the week - that would be great. Just tell me what to do - I'm still very unsure about all this stuff.

Also if you guys can think of a better/different format for this eval please let me know.

One thing to consider from last week. The changes we made after first service made second service much better in my opinion. Question: How can we make these changes before Sunday morning???

after we worked some bugs out between services, i thought we ended up with a pretty strong product. we had a real strong end run this week, from an emotional and execution standpoint.

as far as how to get that sooner than sunday morning: probably the simple answer is sat. not a full blown rehearsal maybe, but work on some stuff we know is going to be tricky- we did that to an extent on karma chameleon, but i wasn't prepared enough on that to do a true test. that would have been helpful if i had been good to go then instead of later. . .

I only saw second service, so I don't know how it was changed or altered. However, I thought showing the Office Safari Video before the band playing the Office Theme Song was a little out of place. When the Office Safari video was playing, people were still standing up around the auditorium talking to one another. As the video played, it felt almost awkward -- people didn't know whether to finish their conversations because this video was merely an intro, or to rush to theirs seats. Throughout the video people eventually went to their seats, but about the time they sat down the Office Theme Song started playing. I could see that they were used to having the band play an intro song as a sort of cue to them saying "You have two minutes before the service starts." It was definitely not a big deal, but it was something that stuck out to me. So maybe make sure that if there is an intro song, that it is played first thing in service? This is all just an opinion, so critique as you may please.

Yeah, I see how the intro thing was confusing. We were trying to do something different, but don't know if it worked.

I thought the outback stuff was pretty strong. The drama into song, was a smooth transition--not sure if it felt a high impact in the audience...but it seemed to work.
